Takari Lee Allegedly Demands $50K for Basketball Wives Appearance
We are embarking upon season 7 of the long running Basketball Wives series. The show returned last year after a hiatus with the original cast members Jennifer Williams, Shaunie O’Neal and Evelyn Lozada. For those who don’t remember there was heavy tension among the cast while the main story line centered around Evelyn reaching out to Jackie Christie’s daughter Takari Lee after her son was burned in daycare.
The issue was that Takari created a goFundMe to help pay for her son’s medical bills. And while Jackie Christie was living with her husband Doug Christie in a $5 million home, it seemed as if the couple didn’t care about their grandson. For years rumors have surfaced that possibly Jackie didn’t love Takari as much as her other daughter Chantel because she was dark skin.
Whatever the case Takari was talked about during the entire season without making an appearance. This year producers want to make sure the ratings continue to rise. They reached out to her to appear on the show and tell her side. According to sources she allegedly asked for $50K in return.
We’re not sure what producers agreed upon but we can say she did film. If the scene was juicy enough the editors may keep it in final editing.
